Dan, along with his brother Sylvain, was one of the BJJ pioneers and Canadian born black belt.
Currently a 5th degree black belt under Master Royler Gracie, he has competed in numerous events over the years.
Owner and head instructor of the Gracie Humaita Woodbridge Academy in the Toronto area.

Professor Karl Theberge
Karl has devoted 10 years to the art of Karate and 25 years to mastering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the guidance of Master Sylvain Moroney, and now Professor Dan Moroney.
Through his extensive martial arts journey, he has learned the invaluable lesson of perseverance and continuous learning. With unwavering belief in the transformative power of martial arts, he is convinced that individuals of all ages and physical abilities can benefit from it. Martial arts has been his guiding light, helping him overcome countless life challenges.

Master Sylvain Moroney
Sylvain was one of the first BJJ pioneers and black belts in Canada.
Student under Royler Gracie, Syvain received the posthumous title of Master in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, making him the first Canadian born to receive the title.
Having taught in Ontario and Quebec, he has many students who are now black belts across Canada. His knowledge of BJJ is unparalleled, encompassing a deep understanding of technique, strategy, and the underlying principles of the art.
